Three Blues In England Squad

Jermain Defoe, David James and Glen Johnson have been selected in Fabio Capello’s squad for England’s first two 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
But there is no place in the 25-man party for Defoe’s strike-partner Peter Crouch.
The Three Lions start their bid to reach South Africa with away matches against Andorra on Saturday and then Croatia four days later.
James and Defoe both started in England’s 2-2 friendly draw with the Czech Republic last month, while Johnson was an unused substitute.
With injuries ruling out Steven Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick, there was a surprise call-up for Fulham’s Jimmy Bullard.
