Sahar To Make Blues Comeback Tonight
Posted on October 20th, 2008 by Pompey
Ben Sahar returns from injury for the Blues tonight, as Pompey Reserves take on Aston Villa at Westleigh Park, kick-off 7pm.
The on loan Chelsea striker has been out for a month with a knee injury, although he did play twice for Israel earlier in the month.
There will be a mixture of youth and experience in Paul Groves’ side with Jerome Thomas and John Utaka patrolling the flanks.
Djimi Traore and Richard Duffy will fill the full-back berths, in front of Jamie Ashdown in goal.
Gael Nlundulu and Tom Kilbey are just two of Ian Woan’s exciting academy side that make the step up to reserve team level tonight.
Pompey Reserves will be looking for their first home victory of the season, having lost to both Arsenal and Chelsea at Westleigh Park.
But they have been impressive on the road, gaining two victories in London against Fulham and Tottenham.
Pompey: Ashdown; Duffy, Wilson, Ryan, D. Traore; Utaka, Pack, Kilbey, Thomas; Nlundulu, Sahar
Subs: Stewart, Collins, Reynolds, Du Chattelier, Navas-Alors
