Pompey Turn Down Bid For Sean Davis

Pompey have turned down a bid for Sean Davis from a Premier League club.
Tony Adams believes that the Blues would be mad to let the 29-year-old midfielder leave the club.
“Sean was fantastic for us against Fulham, said the Blues boss. His commitment and work-rate were magnificent.
“He’s done great for this club and I would be mad to let him go somewhere else.
“I can understand why other clubs would be interested in Sean but we need him right now, so it’s thanks but no thanks.
“He’s happy here and I know that he’ll fight and give everything for Pompey from now until the end of the season.
“We’ve offered him a three-and-a-half-year deal and we’re hopeful that he’ll sign that.
“I’d be delighted if he committed his future to this club because he’s a player that you can always rely on to give his all.”
Davis has made 103 appearances for Pompey since joining from Tottenham in January 2006.
He has made 29 appearances so far this season and scored the winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Blackburn at Fratton Park in November.
